Welcome to Coastal Welding and Fabrication, introducing Founder and Managing Director Brent Whitmore. Here’s a little glimpse back in time, to where and how it all started……
Trade experience should never stop growing , and after beginning an apprenticeship in welding and fabrication at age 15 the young man knew where he belonged. Brents time in training under Pro Stainless ended on a high - literally - when tasked as part of the force of specialist trades to tackle the construction of Auckland's Sky Tower- a project that made headlines and world firsts in feats of engineering and design.
True tradesmen know the end of the apprenticeship never truly comes if you are to hone and perfect your craft. Brent went abroad gaining more experience across the Unighted Kingdom, and Australia. Different fundamental approach’s and work cultures were soaked up quickly, and the best of these filtered and stowed.
